TaskUs founders, Bryce Maddock and Jaspar Weir, have been business partners since their teenage years at Santa Monica High School. In 2008, they left their jobs to start a virtual personal assistant company that would allow busy professionals to outsource their lives, one task at a time.
Bryce and Jaspar started working with service providers from more than a dozen different countries and testing out skill sets that ranged from data entry to blog writing. Based on their experiences with the Philippines, the founders built their first office in Manila in 2009 with a core team of five team members — with a slightly different vision.
